At only three kms from Pontassieve – which you can see below you from the front door – “L'Amarena” is very convenient to all the services which this town offers …shops, banks, post office, butchers, hairdressers, bars, newsagents etc. plus a large weekly market every Wednesday.
From the railway station in Pontassieve you can take a direct train to Florence, a journey of only 20 minutes and so to other main rail connections e.g. Rome, Bologna, Milan, Venice etc.

There is local shopping and a weekly market at the nearby villages of San Francesco and Diacceto.

Within a lovely 15 minute walk is the village of Nipozzano, with its castle and wine cellars, which you can visit to enjoy a tasting experience of their products. Easily accessible to all the famous wine producing areas of Chianti Classico L'Amarena is a mere twenty minutes drive to the wineyards of Rufina, Poggio Reale and other well known producers along the wine trail.

For the energetic visitor there are many well marked walking paths within a few minutes reach.

For the serious shoppers there are outlet stores in a Mall just a short drive away selling designer labels at greatly discounted prices from the houses of Gucci, Armani, Valentino, Yves St Laurent, Ungaro, Ferragamo, La Perla, Sergio Rossi, Tods, Dolce & Gabbana etc.

How to get to the property:
Coming from north take motorway A1 – exit Firenze Sud and turn right direction Pontassieve. Coming from south take motorway A1 - exit Incisa and turn right direction Pontassieve. Shortly before arriving in Pontassieve there are road signs indicating different directions. Follow the one, on the right, marked Consuma - after approx. 4 Kms on this road there is a sign indicating Nipozzano. Turn here and after a 100 m. there is a narrow road on your left.
